WHAT WAS MY ROLE?
RESULTS
Swami Asokananda, President of Integral Yoga Institute of New York and the primary instructor for the Intermediate and Advanced Hatha Yoga Teacher Trainings, needed the right educational technology, strategy, and training to deliver weekly online lessons based on his upcoming book on the Bhagavad Gita.
The main goal of my consultations with this Subject Matter Expert (SME) was to develop and implement a plan for the successful integration of educational technology into his online/mobile teaching.
- Provided instructional design and technical training.
- Conducted a needs analysis to identify available resources and gap performance to create an effective online learning experience.
- Recommended a micro-learning design to meet the time constraints of a wide online audience across platforms.
- Trained the SME on how to use his laptop’s webcam, while improving the audio by researching and selecting the right microphone (a light-weight lavalier easy to carry when traveling).
- Resolved the challenge of poor quality video by selecting and providing a portable High Definition camcorder to use instead of the low-quality webcam.
- Designed a hands-on training to create, use, and optimize the client’s Youtube channel to engage his followers and enhance his online presence.
- Trained him on uploading and sharing his educational videos to his Facebook profile and page
- Trained him on how to use Google Drive, so the staff in his organization could have remote access to his educational content.
We worked together for two months. After consulting and training on the most effective and simple use of technology to meet his educational goals, Swami Asokananda now delivers his teachings to his followers all over the world through his social media channels.
